Why Files Forever?

I had a problem.

My mom asked me if I could help her make a website. She wanted to have a bunch of pictures of all of the different new deserts she was making.

This presented the common problems you might see when making something for your family... Requirements and mis-aligned expectations. It was hard to organize everything she wanted, everything that was fesabile, and how we could resolve that.

Through it all, one of the biggest challenges was figuring out where to put all of the content. Where could I put the pictures, irrespective of what tool I used? What if some day she wanted to sell something? I didn't want to be locked into a platform that could only provide me pictures for itself. I didn't want to have to have her send me photos, then me upload them, and then me use them in the website. There was just hassle all around.

This brought me to Files Forever. A simple place for her to upload images from any device, send me the link, and they would be available on a fast, global CDN for any viewers of her site to enjoy.
